I can't imagine the fun I'd have listening to SpongeBob's laughing Kiai. Actually, SpongeBob, to the right, looks like he might have a kick-ass kiai.

Anyway, I wasn't at practice tonight due to a play-off game for the Anaheim Ducks. Here's the news I gathered second hand from Hosokawa Spencer-sensei:

• Statements were distributed to the members. If you owe money, pay up, or your legs will be broken, otherwise Toni Soppurano will visit you.
  
  
• The deadline to sign up for the SCKF Individual Championships is Wednesday, May 2nd.
  
  
• Star player, Richard Ra has been on the disabled list due to a foot injury. He's due to return to the active list starting next week, following an examination by the team trainer.
  
  When interviewing some fans, they had this to say about Richard's return:
  
  "Yeah, he's [Richard] been doing a great job warming the seats, but we'd like to see him out on the floor now, doing some footwork, like suriashi, okuriashi, or even the moon-walk."
  

• The SCKF Shinpan seminar is on May 20th. Guinea Pigs are necessary to improve the quality of the shinpan.
  
  Kenshi who are 2 Dan and below are encouraged to present themselves as gladiators while up-and-coming and veteran shinpan practice their "yuko-datotsu" recognition skills.
  
  Volunteers get free lunch.
